Kayal Madhivanan is a Senior Scientist at Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals, where she works across target evaluation, translational research, and cross-functional program development to advance therapies for neurological diseases. She brings deep expertise in cellular and molecular biology, protein trafficking, and CNS biology. Prior to Arrowhead, she was a Project Scientist at UC San Diego, building pipelines to study Parkinson's disease pathophysiology using CRISPR and optical electrophysiology. As a George E. Hewitt Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow at The Scripps Research Institute, she developed the first C. elegans model of TTR amyloidosis, uncovering therapeutic strategies for neuronal dysfunction.
