Dr. Yen-Chih Wang obtained his Ph.D. degree in chemistry from University of Minnesota. His research focused on peptide chemistry and combinatorial chemistry. His career about peptides resumed and expanded to oligonucleotide synthesis when he was a senior scientist in Quantum-Si. Yen-Chih got familiarized with instrumental analysis techniques and industrial standards when he was a Sr. analytical chemist in Avomeen (now part of Element). Yen-Chih Wang is currently Assistant Director, Analytical Development and Quality Control at Ionis Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Carlsbad, California. His role is to develop analytical methods for oligonucleotide therapeutics and measure physical properties of oligonucleotides.
