Kanika Chandra, PharmD, MS serves as the Director of Systemwide Pharmacy Specialty Operations at the University of California Office of the President (UCOP) under the UC Health Division. Kanika is an experienced leader in the Health System Specialty Pharmacy area, with over 10 years of experience leading specialty pharmacy initiatives across various health systems in the country. At UCOP, she oversees specialty pharmacy strategy, access to specialty medications, and leveraging data for UC pharmacy initiatives. The University of California system has a total of 7 specialty pharmacies across the state at its 5 AMCs - UC San Francisco, UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC Los Angeles, and UC San Diego. She works to support and identify initiatives within the UC Specialty pharmacies for collaboration and sharing of best practices across the system.  Her team supports the UC Health enterprise by developing strategies for optimizing systemwide medication use and further support the UC Health population, executing targeted initiatives focused on delivering value to UC Health patients through effective medication utilization, and identifying opportunities for collaboration among the UC Health Academic Medical Centers.
