Pat Lupo is the GVP, Pharmacy Trade & Specialty at Walgreens, based in Deerfield, IL. Pat is responsible for the Pharmacy trade channel and Walgreens enterprise Specialty organization, ensuring product availability and access from Walgreens retail locations, local community specialty and central fill sites.

He leads the teams over product sourcing, pharma industry relations & services, wholesalers & inventory management and Specialty operations as part of the US Pharmacy division of WBA.

The teams are focused on managing the relationships with Walgreens’ strategic partners in supply chain, specialty and biopharma to maintain the highest service levels, support patients with rare and complex diseases and deliver improved health outcomes. They also collaborate on developing commercial strategies to overcome access and retention barriers, improve the patient experience and lower total cost of care.

Previously, Pat led WBA’s global pharma partnership program, based in the UK, creating enhanced relationships and strategies to develop commercial capabilities in the supply and value chains across 27 markets. Prior to that he was part of the joint venture between Walgreens and Alliance Boots, established in 2012 in Switzerland, responsible for developing global value propositions and B2B services.

He has over 20 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical, retail and logistics sectors holding various Sales, Marketing and Commercial roles.

Pat received a Bsc. (Hons) in Pharmacology from the University of Bristol and a MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
