Professor Michaël Tanchum, the CEO of Nexus Foresight, is a connectivity thought-leader. With a special emphasis on agriculture and food production, he is an expert on the geopolitics of the emerging nexus of energy, strategic resources, and manufacturing value chains that is linking Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Through his prolific ahead-of-the-curve publications and public speaking, Prof. Tanchum has become an authoritative voice on the global food crisis in addition to continuing to influence the European Union’s Global Gateway policy and the commercial connectivity strategies of EU member states. Known for being a bridge-builder as well as a problem solver, his services have been utilized by the European Union as well as government and private sector entities in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Presently, Michaël is a senior fellow at the Austrian Institute for European and Security Studies and a non-resident fellow in the Economics and Energy Programme at the Middle East Institute in Washington, D.C. He has also served as a senior associate policy fellow in the Africa programme of the European Council on Foreign Relations. He holds a Ph.D. from Harvard University and was a Fellow at Harvard's Olin

Institute for Strategic Studies and its Weatherhead Center for International Affairs. He teaches at Universidad de Navarra, Spain.
