Peter is Senior Nutritionist with Fluid Quip Technologies, Emeritus Professor at the University of Nottingham Trent UK and CEO of AG Bio Ltd. Peter launched AG-Bio Ltd, (Consulting in Agri Science and Business) in 2015 since when the consultancy has supported major agri-businesses and international government agencies on the subjects of agri business and nutritional science. His research training was at the renowned Rowett Research Institute in Scotland and his experience spans research activities in both academia and industry. As R&D Director of Adisseo, he launched both Smartamine and the Rovabio enzymes. He was senior Project lead at Syngenta, responsible for in planta expression of enzymes and the scientific and business evaluation of a JV. Responsibilities have included monitoring 30 projects for Innovate UK and for 15 years he has led the nutrition program with Fluid Quip Technologies and Green Plains Inc. on the Corn Fermented Protein project which today has a global market volume more than one million tons per annum. Peter has international experience of project management and new product development in the animal and aqua feed industries. He has an extensive publications list and recently authored two book chapters on the use of Corn Fermented Protein in pigs and poultry. He is frequently called upon to participate in round table sessions and to make presentations on his specialty, alternative proteins and Corn Fermented Protein for animal feed.
