Profile
Roland Dauphin is currently head of the R&D Energy department at CMA CGM, in charge of decarbonizing the energy supply of CMA CGM's assets.
Passionate about energy-related topics, from its production to its applications, he started in engine technology at IFP Energies nouvelles and moved to the field of Fuel / Engine Matching. In 2016, he joined TotalEnergies where he developed racing fuels and biofuels. He also provided courses on engines and fuels at IFP School. In 2019, he joined Concawe, the scientific body of the European fuel manufacturing industry, as Science Executive for Fuels Quality and Emissions. He created the website carsCO2comparator.eu and co-chaired ERTRAC’s Energy & Environment working group. His preferred fields of investigation include low-carbon fuels, emissions, electrification and life-cycle assessment. He is the author of 45 publications and 5 patents.
He holds an MSc from the Ecole Polytechnique in Paris and an MSc in engine engineering at IFP School.
