Jason Gould is the Chief of the Health Care Fraud Unit at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of New Jersey, a position that he has held since March 2022. He supervises both criminal and civil AUSAs enforcing violations of the health care fraud statute, the Anti-kickback statute, the Controlled Substances Act, the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, and the False Claims Act, among others. He has tried multiple cases to verdict as first chair and has supervised several other trials. He has also investigated a broad range of health care-related frauds for the U.S. Attorney’s Office, including compound drug prescription fraud, patient brokering schemes, and opioid diversion. Before joining the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Jason worked at a New York City law firm working on a large variety of pharmaceutical and white-collar defense matters. Jason received his J.D. from the George Washington University Law School, where he graduated magna cum laude and Order of the Coif.
