Ben is a Policy Lead within the UK Department for Energy Security & Net Zero. He developed the cross-government Future of Gas Programme, exploring long-term security, decarbonisation, and affordability. Ben has been responsible for several government security of supply risk assessments and produced the medium-range gas security assessment. He is a Policy Fellow at the University of Bath Institute for Policy Research.
