Oliver Weinmann is a consultant in the hydrogen and renewable energy business and owner of the consulting company HyAdvice. He is active in the energy business for more than three decades,mainly focusing on renewables and hydrogen. In recent years a broad portfolio of hydrogen projects has been developed. Until July 2022 he was Managing Director of Vattenfall Innovation GmbH. The subsidiary of Vattenfall GmbH developed new businesses for the Vattenfall group, mainly related to renewable energies.He studied Process Engineering at the RWTH Aachen, followed by a PhD on Solar Thermal Power Plants at DLR in Cologne. In 1992 he started his career at HEW in Hamburg and changed to Vattenfall in 2003 as Head of Innovation Management. In parallel, between 2004 and 2007, he was Managing Director of Vattenfall Renewables GmbH.Oliver Weinmann is president of the German Hydrogen Association (DWV)
