2024 Supporting Organisations
Abbi
Profile
The Brazilian Bioinnovation Association (ABBI) is a civil non-profit organization, founded in 2014, that believes in Brazil's potential as a leader in the Bioeconomy. We represent companies and institutions from different sectors of the economy that invest in innovative technologies, based on biological and renewable resources to create sustainable products, processes or business models.
Within our scope of work, in addition to bioinputs, we also focus on the topics of biosafety (Genetically Modified Microorganisms – GMMs), biofuels, biodiversity and intellectual property, and others.
We dialogue with experts from government, academia, companies and civil society to improve regulatory frameworks, avoiding unnecessary barriers to the development of bioinnovation. We believe in bioinnovation as a real and immediate opportunity for Brazil's economic and social advancement.
