Andreas Prenner is a Policy Officer at the European Commission. He works in DG SANTE’s Biotech Taskforce on the European Biotech Act, the EU’s legislative proposal to boost the sector’s competitiveness and simplify its regulatory framework. His focus is in particular on issues linked to access to finance for Biotech companies. He previously worked on technology policy in the Commission, covering pandemic preparedness, space and AI. Before joining the Commission, he worked in the investment banking division of Deutsche Bank in London. He holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of Oxford.
