Claudio Costa-Neto is a senior executive and scientist with more than 25 years of experience in biomedical science in Europe, US & Brazil. He brings a strong track record spanning R&D, venture investment, and also academic leadership, with over 100 scientific articles published.

Since 2020, he serves as Chief Scientific Officer (CSO), Operational Investor, and member of the investment team at Jeito Capital, a leading global independent private equity fund dedicated to biopharma, and is part of its founding team.

At Jeito Capital, Claudio plays a key role in the early identification of investment opportunities, leading scientific due diligence processes, and supporting portfolio companies with strategic, scientific, and operational guidance. His contributions span multiple therapeutic areas and technology modalities. He has been involved in nearly all of Jeito’s investments, including its three major exits: Hi-Bio, EyeBio and Neogene.

Claudio holds a PhD in Molecular Biology and Molecular Pharmacology, completed through joint research conducted at the Federal University of São Paulo (Brazil) and the University of Copenhagen (Denmark).
