Dr Gareth Winckle obtained his Bachelor of Pharmacy undergraduate degree from the Welsh School of Pharmacy, University of Wales, Cardiff. He received his Ph.D. in topical formulation and the rational targeting of dermal agents under the guidance of Dr. Keith Brain with industrial sponsorship from Reckitt Benckiser. Dr Winckle continued to work on topical formulation and dermal drug delivery as a post-doctoral researcher in Professor Mike Roberts’s group at the University of Queensland. He is CTO of Tarian Pharma has worked for over 20 years in the pharmaceutical industry as a leader, advisor, manager and scientist specializing in formulation and topical/transdermal drug delivery. Dr Winckle is also Executive Topical Advisor and Engagement Partner at Nuvisan and has held leadership, management and scientific roles at Galderma/Nestlé Skin Health, and Dow Pharmaceutical Sciences. Dr. Winckle is a co-inventor of over 15 patents and patent applications and has co-authored several scientific papers and communications.
