Kalyan Chakravarthy is an Associate Director of Oncology Business Development and External Innovation at Ipsen. He focuses on identifying and executing strategic partnerships that expand and strengthen the company’s pipeline. He brings over 15 years of experience spanning drug discovery, corporate strategy, and external partnering within the biopharmaceutical industry.

Prior to joining Ipsen, Kalyan spent more than a decade at Merck & Co., where he contributed to oncology and immunology research programs from early discovery through translational development. His cross-functional background enables him to bridge scientific innovation with commercial strategy, structuring partnerships that accelerate bringing transformative medicines to patients.

Kalyan holds a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Drexel University and an MBA from Boston University. He is passionate about advancing innovation through strategic collaboration and building the next generation of biotech leaders.
