Koen Vandecaveye is Director of Investment Promotion at Barcelona & Partners, a non-profit agency which aims to attract innovative companies to the city. In this role, he leads the team which promotes Barcelona as a hub for Life Sciences & Deeptech, as well as Climate Tech by connecting international companies to the data, insights and connections they need to thrive in the city.

Previously he worked at London & Partners where he supported over one hundred science & technology companies to successfully expand to London.

Koen studied and worked in China for 10 years and founded the China Working Group at Tech London Advocates which works to create awareness of opportunities in both tech clusters and provides a platform for entrepreneurs and the wider tech ecosystems to connect.

He is also an advocate for LGBTQ+ diversity in the tech sector and, at London & Partners, founded the Employee Resource Group for LGBTQ+ staff and allies.
