Mathieu Klop is the CSO and co-founder of Helical, the Virtual AI Lab for Pharma. Together with his co-founders, he has raised $4M in funding and built a 20-person team of engineers and scientists. Mathieu brings clinical and computational expertise through his doctoral research at the German Heart Centre Munich on cardiovascular disease mechanisms, and practiced as a resident doctor at Heidelberg University Hospital. At Helical, Mathieu leads scientific strategy across target identification, biomarker discovery, and therapeutic design, with a focus on making AI outputs biologically grounded and defensible.
