Nick Petschek
Managing Director at Kotter
Speaker

Profile

Nick Petschek leads Kotter’s EMEA business and serves on the firm’s Research & Development Leadership Team alongside Dr. John Kotter. Kotter’s work is grounded in more than 50 years of research on leadership and change, building on John Kotter’s founding role in the change management field. Learn more about Kotter, and connect with Nick on LinkedIn.

For over 20 years, Nick has supported senior leadership teams through portfolio shifts, post-merger integration, operating model change, and periods when growth stalls despite strong science. In the life sciences sector, he works with pharmaceutical organizations on strategy, executive team alignment, employee activation, cultural evolution, and improving speed to market and operational efficiency across large global pharma, mid-tier companies, and startups.

He works directly with C-suite leaders to align stakeholders, accelerate decisions, and mobilize organizations to execute strategy at scale in complex, regulated environments. His experience includes transformation work with organizations such as Apple, the NFL, 3M, Roche, and Chiesi, across more than 20 countries.

Nick’s perspective is shaped by an unconventional background spanning the circus, fast-scaling unicorn startups, and the United Nations—equipping him to help leaders cut through complexity, shape a clear narrative, and embed change that lasts.

At BIO-Europe, Nick’s joint keynote with Chiesi explores how life sciences leaders can mobilize faster, reduce friction in execution, and deliver transformation that sticks—without short-term fixes or external expertise that fails to build internal capability.

Nick holds a dual Master of Arts in International Affairs and Urban Planning from The Fletcher School at Tufts University and is based in Barcelona, Spain.
