Somdatta joined Oxford BioTherapeutics in 2019 and plays a key role in identifying novel oncology targets and supporting strategic collaborations. She contributed significantly to the Roche and GSK collaborations, and has also been involved in target discovery efforts with partners including Roche, GSK, Boehringer Ingelheim and Zymeworks. In addition to external innovation or partnering activities, Somdatta helps shape business development strategy, develop content to support partnerships and scientific and commercial engagement. Somdatta serves as Senior Director, Business Development and holds MSc degrees in Biotechnology from Vellore Institute of Technology, India, and in Cancer Biology from Kingston University, London. She was named “Rising Star in Tech” in The Business Magazine Thames Valley Tech and Innovation Awards 2025, celebrating the best talent in technology and innovation. Somdatta brings deep scientific insight and a strong commitment to translating innovative research into meaningful therapeutic advances for patients.
