Dr. Werner Lanthaler was appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of FairJourney Bio and member of the Management Board in October 2025. He is a distinguished leader in the biopharmaceutical industry with a career dedicated to driving innovation, transformation and sustainable growth. Dr. Lanthaler served as CEO of Evotec SE for nearly 15 years, where he was instrumental in transforming the company into a global leader in drug discovery and development, particularly in precision medicine and artificial intelligence. Before joining Evotec, he served as CFO of Intercell, being responsible for the company’s IPO and the successful market launch of its vaccines. Throughout his career, Dr. Lanthaler has forged impactful collaborations to drive commercial success and long-term growth, including leading several collaborative partnerships with global pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and academic institutions. Dr. Lanthaler also serves as CEO of Wlanholding, an investment company focused on advancing cutting-edge technologies and is a highly regarded member of several boards. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Vienna and a master’s degree in public administration from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.
