Pre-Event Steps
Prepare your pitch
- You will be allowed to display up to 10 PowerPoint slides during your 6 minute pitch
- 1st slide – Title slide: your company name, your name, title and contact information
- 2nd,3rd 4th, 5th- 10th slides: content related to your pitch

COMPETITION DAY
Please read through the below information to make sure you are prepared once you arrive onsite in Milan.
Stop at the "Speaker check-in room" on Monday, March 17th, 2025
- Please be advised that all presenters are required to check in with the A/V team in the "Speaker check-in room" on Monday, March 17th, 2025
- This is for you to ensure your presentation will display correctly on our servers.
- Please note: absolutely no changes can be made to your slides after 17:00 on Monday, March 17th, 2025
Presentation Details
- All presenters are limited to no more than 6 minutes and up to 10 slides each.
- A panel of judges will determine the winner of the competition based on the quality and effectiveness of the pitch as well as the investability of the idea.
- The winner will be announced at the conclusion of the competition at 17:00PM. Please plan to be in the room at this time and find out if you are the winner!

Where?
- This session will take place on Tuesday, 18 March from 15:00 – 17:00 CET.
- On March18th please come to program room Coral 2 at 14:45pm
How will you be scored?
Below is the scoring that the judges will use to evaluate each pitch
Strength Team Management
Team's qualifications, track record/experience in the relevant field? (1-4)
Funding
What is the funding situation of the company? (past rounds, grants etc) – likelihood to be able to advance the work over coming months. (1-4)
Scientific Evidence
Transformational or incremental, if project/platform were to progress favorably?
Is the science credible? (1-4)
Project Plan / Strategy
Clear outline of decision points, value inflection points, go/no-go criteria (1-4)
Unmet Need / Market Opportunity
Potential to address a large (medical) unmet need or solve a significant problem?
Would opportunity be able to meet market expectations when projected to enter the market? (1-4)
