Getting around

Multiple transportation options are available in Lisbon – the metro often being the most efficient one. In keeping with our sustainability goals – and to bypass the at times notorious heavy traffic congestions, we strongly encourage you to make use of the city's public transportation services. Experience fast, efficient, and eco-friendly travel.

Train travel to Lisbon

Lisbon offers domestic rail connections via CP (Comboios de Portugal). Oriente station, conveniently located close to the FIL conference venue, serves as a hub connecting to major cities including Porto, Coimbra, Faro, and Évora via high-speed Alfa Pendular services as well as suburban trains to destinations like Sintra.

Santa Apolónia station in the city center primarily handles northern routes.

While international train travel is possible, it typically requires multiple connections and extended journey times.

Air travel to Lisbon

Lisbon’s main airport is Humberto Delgado Airport (LIS), located northeast of the city and not far from the conference center area (Parque das Nacoes).
