Jishna GangulyScientist at GSK
Profile
Jishna Ganguly is a scientist in the CHO Mammalian Expression Technology Centre of Excellence (MET CoE) team within Drug Substance group at GSK Vaccines, Rockville. She is experienced in CHO-based cell line development and associated workflows, and has led several recombinant protein antigen expression projects in recent years.
Currently she is attempting to incorporate a rapid high-throughput clone selection and screening strategy into GSK’s cell line development workflows, that will reduce labor and cost inputs, contamination and the potential for human error.
Jishna has an MA in Cell and Microbial Biology from Catholic University of America and a B.Tech degree in Biotechnology from West Bengal University of Technology, India. Prior to her graduate studies, she worked as a research executive improving the expression of biotherapeutic proteins in the upstream process development team at Hospira (now Pfizer) in Chennai, India.
