Moiz Diwan is the Head of Purification for Biologics Process Development group at AbbVie and is responsible for impacting CMC development for all biologics modalities. Moiz has led early to late-stage pharmaceutical development teams and led Center of Excellence team focusing on fundamentals‐driven process development through application of enabling technologies, continuous processing, automation, and predictive modeling. Moiz has supported commercial process development for 6+ commercial drugs and >50 clinical assets in last 5 years. Moiz also built and led various global team on continuous processing, automation technologies, etc. at AbbVie to efficiently share capabilities, resources, and provide strategic advancement. Moiz is passionate about people, building and sustaining high performance organizations, continuous learning, and translating science and innovation into products that make a difference to human health. Moiz has captured his scientific contribution in over 70 journal publications, patents, book chapters, invited seminars and conference presentations. Moiz is a board member of AIChE PD2M committee, editorial advisory board for CEP magazine, board member of ISCRE, and industrial advisory board member of Purdue School of Chemical Engineering. Moiz completed his M.S. and PhD degrees from Purdue University in Chemical Engineering and bachelor’s degree from Indian Institute of Technology in Chemical Engineering.
