Preparing, Submitting & Presentation Timing

Note: the following is a condensed version of the detailed presenter guidelines which can be found by clicking the presenter guideline link.

The four-step path from prep to the presentation podium:

Step 1–Prepare

Presenters should tailor their presentation to the following time limits: 14 minutes for Private, 25 minutes for Public, and 7 minutes for Seed companies. We also recommend presenters consider limiting their decks to one slide per minute.

Step 2–Submit

Upload your presentation deck by the Friday before the in-person event dates. Alternatively, you may bring your presentation to the Presenter Check-In between the hours of 7:00 am – 6:00 and at least 1 hour prior to your presentation time

Step 3–Confirm

All presenters are asked to go to the presenter check-in room 30 minutes prior to their presentation time to check in with our AV staff and review their presentation to ensure was received and plays as intended.

Step 4–Presenting

Please arrive at your presentation room 15 minutes before your scheduled presentation time. Q&A is not permitted during your session; a separate breakout room will be assigned for you to take meetings. All presenting companies are strictly limited to the time limits mentioned in step 1, which includes your company introduction and room transition time.

Webcasting

Webcasting is available to Public and Private Biotech Showcase and DigiMed Showcase presenters at an additional fee. The fee is listed in the application below, or contact the provider directly (see below).

Note: Webcasting is not an option for Seed Showcase presenters due to timing.

This short tutorial walks through the quick and easy steps to record your company presentation using Microsoft PowerPoint. Watch the tutorial to ensure your camera and microphone settings are adjusted correctly before you begin to record.
