Calvin Chen, PhD, is an Associate Director in Global Search & Evaluation at Novo Nordisk, where he drives external innovation sourcing and partnership development across the Asia–Pacific region, with a focus on novel therapeutics and enabling technologies.
He earned his PhD in Regenerative Hepatology from the Hubrecht Institute and Utrecht University in the Netherlands, followed by postdoctoral training at the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Calvin began his career at Novo Nordisk Research Center China as a Senior Research Scientist, where he led target discovery initiatives and academic collaborations, contributing to the advancement of multiple pipeline programs.
In early 2024, he transitioned to Global Search & Evaluation, where he plays a key role in sourcing and advancing external opportunities and shaping regional partnering efforts.
