Coming from British Columbia (Canada), Dr. Bellos earned his Bachelors in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Utah State University. During this time, he completed an undergraduate research fellowship studying novel algae strains and methods to maximize biofuel yields. He completed his PhD in Molecular Medicine and Translational Science at Case Western Reserve University in partnership with the Cleveland Clinic’s Lerner Research Institute. While there, he was awarded a Ruth L. Kirschstein fellowship for his research on intestine-liver interactions in alcoholic liver disease models. Drawing on his background in analytical and molecular techniques, Dr. Bellos has become a subject matter expert in raw material analysis, targeted manufacturing, and method development. Dr. Bellos has worked at Cytiva for 5 years and is currently working as a Senior Scientist in the Chemistry & Raw Material team.
