Jolene Ignowski, Ph.D. is a CMC project lead at Bayer with more than 19 years in industry. She leads teams responsible for all aspects of the manufacturing of biological pipeline projects, from preclinical to launch. The teams cover cell line development, process development, analytics, technology transfer to facilities, API and drug product manufacturing, packaging, release, distribution to clinical study sites, and regulatory submissions. Prior this role, Jolene was the Head of Downstream Development, focusing on the recovery and purification for a variety of biological modalities, including complex recombinant proteins, monoclonal antibodies, gene therapy, and cell therapy. She was a member of the CMC teams which launched the hemophilia products, Kovaltry® and Jivi®. Jolene received her B.S. degree from the University of Wyoming and her Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, both in Chemical Engineering.
