Kara Levine leads the upstream team within Focused Modality Applications at MilliporeSigma. Here she oversees a diverse group of scientists and engineers committed to advancing process knowledge and generating applications data in the viral vector space. Drawing on her extensive background in biomanufacturing and analytical development for traditional and novel modalities, Kara is focused on enhancing tools and processes for the production of adeno-associated viruses (AAV). Kara has spent over 15 years in the Life Science Business of MilliporeSigma after earning her Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology at UMASS Chan Medical School.
