Profile

Prashant is a biopharmaceutical professional with over 15 years of experience in the industry. He is based in Philadelphia and is part of a global team within Sartorius helping customers develop and commercialize molecules of various modalities such as monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), adeno-associated viruses (AAV), vaccines etc. He also helps with post-commercialization optimization by performing GEMBA walks through manufacturing facilities and providing non-binding recommendations to improve processes.

Before joining Sartorius, Prashant served in a scientific role at GSK for over 12 years, predominantly at the King of Prussia, PA site in the formulation, and the downstream processing groups. He was involved in the formulation development and analysis of various monoclonal antibodies and subunits at various clinical phases. In the downstream processing department, he specialized in TFF development and was part of a scale-up group processing 50-200 L of bioreactor material all the way to bulk drug substance. He also spent about 1.5 years at one of GSK’s drug product manufacturing sites in the UK and was an integral member of a team tasked with the manufacture, fill and finish of Phase 3 clinical and PPQ batches of a liquid monoclonal antibody formulation into syringes which were then fitted into an autoinjector. Prashant also contributed to the drug product and drug substance CMC sections of IND & BLA filings, including control strategy.

Prashant is a pharmaceutical scientist by training with degrees from India and MS from University at Buffalo (SUNY).
