Shalima Sreenath is a chemical engineer with over a decade of experience in the food and biotech industry. She holds a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS) Pilani, India. Shalima is also a Fellow of the International Food Science & Technology (IFST) organization.
Currently, Shalima is the Head of Downstream Processing at Cellibre, where she leads the purification and isolation of novel small molecules derived from fermentation, driving innovations from lab scale to commercial production. Her previous roles include impactful tenures at Kerry Ingredients & Flavors and Beyond Meat, where she served in multiple process and project engineering roles. Shalima has a proven track record in scaling up new products, overseeing new facility build-outs, and leading technology transfers of processes to contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs).
With her extensive expertise and leadership, Shalima continues to push the boundaries of bioprocessing and contribute to advancements in the industry.
