Dr. Andy Wiranata Wijaya is a biochemical engineer specializing in upstream bioprocess development and scale up. He holds a Ph.D. in Biochemical Engineering, with research focused on cell culture process and media development. Dr. Wijaya has more than eight years of scientific and technical experiences in bioprocess development across microbial, mammalian, and stem cell systems. Currently, he leads the Bioprocess Development activities across Nestlé R&D in Switzerland, where his team of scientists and engineers develop and optimize cell-based bioprocesses, including the transition from 2D adherent to 3D suspension culture, process optimization, and process intensification.
