Dieter Palmberger holds a PhD in Biotechnology from BOKU University in Vienna, where he specialized in virus-based protein expression. He continued his research with postdoctoral positions at both the University of Veterinary Medicine and BOKU, focusing on innovative bioprocessing techniques. In 2016, he joined the Austrian Center for Industrial Biotechnology (acib), where he successfully led projects on viral vector production. At Themis Bioscience, he directed the development of efficient upstream processes for manufacturing prophylactic vaccines as Head of Upstream Process Development. Currently, as Managing Director and CTO of bespark*bio, Dieter provides technical and strategic leadership, driving scientific innovation and advancing biomanufacturing technologies.
