Geoff Platt is a Technology Specialist at Croda Pharma. His role involves employing established technologies as well as developing novel products for formulation of biologics and bioprocessing applications. Previously he was Principal R&D Scientist at Avacta Life Sciences where he contributed to the design of a novel scaffold for Affimer proteins and led a team that created therapeutic, diagnostic and bioprocessing applications for these reagents. As Head of Applications, he participated in developing the Uncle instrument, a high throughput tool for measuring stability of biologics formulations. In academia, he held a Postdoctoral Fellow position at University of Leeds where he researched the molecular mechanisms of amyloid formation in the group of Prof. Sheena Radford. Geoff obtained his PhD from University of Nottingham.
