Michaela read Biochemistry at the University of Edinburgh (UK) and received her PhD in Biochemistry and Biophysics from the University of Glasgow (UK), followed by stints as a postdoc at the Stowers Institute for Medical Research in Kansas City (USA) and a principal investigator at the University of Munich (DE). Currently, Michaela is the Principal Scientist in charge of the Bioprocess Innovation Team at ViraTherapeutics, focusing on the development of upstream and downstream processes in the field of viral therapeutics.
