Robyn EmminsScientific Director, Cell Line Development at GSKSpeaker
Profile
Robyn Emmins, PhD (Molecular Microbiology, University of Edinburgh 2006) joined GSK in 2009 following Post-Graduate and Post-Doctoral research (University of Newcastle, 2009) exploring the genetic regulation of cell division pathways in microbial systems. Upon joining GSK, she led the platform development for microbial biopharmaceutical CLD before diversifying into platform enabling research to evolve GSK’s CHO expression systems. Robyn has led the Biopharmaceutical Cell Line Development team since 2020 and has enjoyed deploying automation (both physical and digital) and advanced genetic tools to augment the speed, reliability, and quality of cell lines to support GSK’s biologics portfolio.
