Sara leads the Early Expression & Supply team at AstraZeneca. In this role, she is focusing on the development of a transient expression platform for biotherapeutics production. She has more than ten years experience in the R&D sector delivering publicly and commercially funded collaborative projects. Her main area of expertise is upstream process development and scale-up in both microbial and mammalian expression systems. She holds a PhD in Molecular Biology from the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC).
