Dave Hiemstra, CLCP, CTR, is a strong educator and natural leader with a talent for distilling technical knowledge into easy-to-digest information to assist team members and clients alike. His areas of expertise include lighting automation, systems integration, DMX system designing and programming, as well as project management. Dave is also a WiredScore and SmartScore Accredited Professional.

Dave's passion began with lighting and lighting controls and grew to include and re-focus on smart technology and building systems. Dave is currently leading Smith + Andersen's Intelligent Integrated Systems team in Alberta, building relationships with forward-thinking clients across the province. He especially enjoys and appreciates each project's discovery process, taking a client-centric approach to understanding the use cases and needs of the space. Dave works to find the right design and technology to deliver on client expectations.
