Daniel Gallagher is the current Executive Director of Sports and Entertainment for Visit Atlantic City and the Atlantic City Sports Commission. The Atlantic City Sports Commission was officially formed on January 13, 2015, as a 501 (c)(3) organization with the support of Visit Atlantic City and the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA) to attract sporting events, conventions, and competitions to Atlantic City.

Since the formation of the Commission, Gallagher has assisted in landing premier sporting events such as the TEAMS Conference & Expo, Ironman 70.3, Red Bull Global Rallycross, USAT National Championships, USA Fencing Regionals, U.S. Futsal, Matchroom Pool’s US Open Pool Championship, and Jimmy Johnson’s Atlantic City “Quest for the Ring” Championship Fishing Week. Also, since joining Visit Atlantic City in 2014, Gallagher has generated more than 604,382 room nights and more than $822 million in economic impact to Atlantic City.

Gallagher continues to play an integral role in the sports market by staying involved in national and global industry trends. His love for the sports industry has yielded national recognition as 40 under 40 by Connect Meetings, features in sports-related publications, and educational accreditation as a Sports Tourism Strategist (STS).
