Profile

Jayne is a Lecturer in Policing at LJMU following thirty years in Law Enforcement. Jayne led high profile investigations into Serious Organised Crime, initiating and delivering strategic change with a focus on senior leadership, innovation, and risk management.

Jayne has a MSc in Management and managed risk around high threat organised crime groups, directing national and international investigations and leading the strategic management, development and delivery of operational capability in line with UK and International legislation, codes of practice and control strategies.

As Head of Profession for Surveillance; oversaw policies and procedures in accordance with the Authorised Professional Practice of the College of Policing.

During the COVID19 pandemic, Jayne led U.K. Health Security Agency, Incident Response Operations Team with a focus on improving leadership across the organisation, managing risk, and leading the lessons Identified and public inquiry preparation.

Jayne delivered leadership and investigation training to Anti-Human Trafficking/Child Protection and Transnational Organisational Crime Task Forces, on behalf of the United Nations Development Programme and British High Commission in East Africa.

Jayne is also an Associate Inspector for His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary Fire and Rescue Service and fulfils a lead role on nationwide inspections focused on Serious Organised Crime.

As Chair of Trustees for the ‘Everyone Matters Schools Trust’ in Merseyside, Jayne leads and manages the boards’ role in academy assurance and improvement with a focus on leadership, decision making and accountability.

Jayne is passionate about Serious Organised Crime and the impact it has on communities across the world and is keen to develop research in this area.
