Taner Akcok is a serial entrepreneur and corporate executive based in Berlin, currently serving as Chief Information Officer at DWS. He previously held leadership roles at Deutsche Bank as CTO for Corporate Bank and Global Head of API Banking, where he scaled global platforms at the intersection of asset management, embedded finance, AI, and APIs.

Taner started his career at Microsoft, later he founded AppAnalytics, recognized by Business Insider as the 2nd fastest‑growing B2B startup worldwide before its acquisition by Nomad Commerce. He joined Webtrekk to help build Europe’s first GDPR‑compliant customer intelligence platform; Webtrekk was later acquired by Mapp. Taner then founded finleap connect, serving as Managing Director and CPO/CTO, and grew it into Europe’s leading financial API platform, acquired by Finch Capital.

His technical focus spans API and data platforms, AI platform architectures (RAG), AI agent frameworks (MCP), and his business focus spans embedded finance, BaaS, and contextual banking, and asset management. He recognized by Forbes Europe’s 30 Under 30 for leadership in tech and finance, Taner studied Business Administration at Istanbul University, Innovation Management at Stanford University, and completed executive programs at Harvard University and London Business School.
