David Monteiro advises banks, broker-dealers, and other financial services companies on compliance with consumer protection laws. I defend clients in enforcement investigations and high-stakes supervisory examinations involving UDAAP, sales practices, antidiscrimination, and enumerated consumer financial services laws before the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, federal and state bank regulatory agencies, the Federal Trade Commission, FINRA, and other government agencies. He also conducts internal investigations into consumer protection risks and developing strategies for responsive compliance enhancements and customer remediation. David leads Morgan Lewis's Dallas office Litigation, Regulation and Investigations Practice Group and serves as Deputy Office Managing Partner.
