Josh Tanenbaum is a Managing Partner at Rebalance Capital, a Series A and B FinTech VC redesigning financial security and economic infrastructure for working Americans. The firm introduced two concepts that help penetrate the $3.5 trillion purchase power opportunity of the lower 60% of the income distribution: "Trust Nodes" (intermediaries with sticky, trusted relationships) and "Business-to-Business-Employees" (a employer-distributed, employee-centric go-to-market). Josh has spent a decade covering Financial Services. Most recently, he was an investment banker at Citi, covering FinTech, specialty finance, and alternative asset management. Previously, Josh was an investor at Partners Group and an executive search and human capital consultant at Korn Ferry. In this role, he co-founded the firm’s impact investing practice and supported the rollout of its human capital M&A solution for asset managers. Josh started his career as an entrepreneur. He founded and successfully exited LOCAL VIBES, an artist scouting, fan data, and payments platform. Josh has invested in companies like Upgrade, Acorns, Vexi, Jetty, and Summer. He has presented on Rebalance's thesis to two White House administrations and judged the President Clinton-backed Hult Prize.

Josh has an undergraduate degree from the University of Melbourne and a Master of Business Administration from Cornell’s SC Johnson College of Business.
