Kelly Barton is an investor at CapitalG, the independent growth fund of Google parent company Alphabet, where she focuses on fintech and vertical software. CapitalG has invested in fintech leaders such as Stripe, Monzo, Robinhood, Credit Karma, AlphaSense, LendingClub, Albert, and Next Insurance. Other CapitalG investments include CrowdStrike, Databricks, UiPath, Duolingo, Zscaler, Airbnb, and Freshworks. Prior to joining CapitalG in 2021, Kelly worked as a consultant in the consumer practice at the Boston Consulting Group in Chicago. She also spent time at Senreve, a direct-to-consumer brand in San Francisco. Kelly graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Mathematics. While at MIT, she was a member of the Lightweight Rowing Team. Outside of work, Kelly can be found training for or racing in Ironman triathlons.
