Anton van Heesewijk is the Head of Trading Strategy at JERA Global Markets, based in London, where he leads strategic analysis across global LNG, European gas, coal and power markets. He has over two decades of experience in energy and commodities markets, with a career spanning major players including JERA, Cheniere, BP, BG Group, Deutsche Bank, E.ON Energy Trading, TXU, and Essent.

Anton began his career in gas and power market analysis in the late 1990s and has since held senior analytical and leadership roles covering LNG fundamentals, short-term market analysis, and trading strategy. He is widely recognized for his deep expertise in natural gas, LNG, and European energy markets, combining rigorous fundamental analysis with a strong understanding of trading and risk management.

He holds a master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Policy Analysis and Management from Delft University of Technology and is a native Dutch speaker.
