Dr. Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli is bp Vice President for the Caspian region overseeing external affairs and communications. He has 25 years of professional experience in the energy sector and has held number of leadership roles ‎across external affairs, communications, strategy, tax and customs, ethics ‎and compliance as well as business services. He was awarded the ’Progress’ medal (2017) by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. For his contributions to the oil and gas industry.

In addition to professional activities, he holds PhD degree in Law. Dr. Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli is also an Associate Professor of International Tax Law at Baku State University and a visiting lecturer of Energy Geopolitics, Political Economy of Energy at ADA University. He is the author of a book and numerous professional articles and commentaries.
