Ruud Kempener is the deputy head of unit for energy security and safety within the Directorate-General for Energy at the European Commission. Ruud joined the Commission in 2016, where he has been responsible for the development of EU’s hydrogen policy and industrial competitiveness, renewables financing, and international cooperation activities on renewables.
