As MD at Dragon, Simon is responsible for both the Dragon LNG terminal business as well as growing Dragon Energy, the renewables arm which will enable our core business to fully decarbonise its emissions and become a net zero LNG terminal in Europe.

Simon started in the energy industry pigging pipelines with British Gas (as a mechanical engineer undergraduate) and then designing them for a large project in Kazakhstan. Since then, he has worked for Shell initially as a Petroleum Engineer and continued through an international career over 25 years in nine different countries before joining Dragon LNG as MD in January 2023. In recent years Simon has held global and country level leadership positions across both Shell operated and non-operated joint ventures. Most recently in Australia, as part of the start-up of the mega-project Prelude FLNG project and its early commercial operations.

Simon enjoys life’s challenges (now in Pembrokeshire weather), learning lessons along the way and being part of building a better future for society.
