Abdul Razak Adattil Marakkar is the Vice President of the Centre of Excellence at the National Insurance Company – Daman, a subsidiary of PureHealth Group, the largest hospital and insurance group in the Middle East. With over 25 years of experience in business strategy, operational excellence, and people development, he has led the Centre of Excellence in People & Organisation since 2022.

In this role, he oversees the Talent Management portfolio, focusing on talent identification, development, and retention through innovative programmes and strategic cultural engagement. He has spearheaded major initiatives, including the Emirati Development Programme, Leadership Development Programme, and the organisation’s retention strategy. He also led the implementation of Daman SECURE, a framework for leadership development and business continuity, and established the Daman Development Academy, Daman’s in-house training academy. Additionally, he developed the Daman Employee Engagement Model and drives performance using advanced OKR methodology.

Prior to his current role, Abdul Razak held senior HR leadership positions at PureHealth Group, Abeer Medical Group, Al Waha Capital, Aster DM Healthcare, and Aldar Laing Orouke Construction LLC, among others, where he contributed to large-scale organisational development and transformation initiatives, including Merger and Acquisition and Change Management.

Abdul Razak has won several awards, including the HR Leader of the Year Award 2025 for Employee Happiness in the UAE. He is a certified coach and trainer, passionate about empowering individuals and organisations.

He holds an MBA from the University of Calicut, a Global Fellowship in Talent Management from The Wharton School - University of Pennsylvania, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (FCIPD), UK. His key certifications include PMP & RMP-PMI, Certified LeanSixsigma Blackbelt, Certified SAFe® 6.0 Practitioner, ICF Certified Coach (ACC), and Gallup Certified Strengths Coach and Certified OKR Specialist.
