Ahmed Abdullah Abdelkarrim A. Zarroug is a seasoned professional in Management and Public Administration, currently serving as the General Director of Training and Capacity Building for the Federal Ministry of Irrigation and Water Resources. In this role, he is at the forefront of shaping workforce capabilities and driving efficiency within a vital government institution. His extensive experience includes a tenure as Undersecretary (Deputy Minister) for the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports, where he successfully spearheaded a significant organisational restructuring – a testament to his expertise in organisational development and strategic transformation. Ahmed has also contributed to the drafting of labour law for the government of Sudan and is proficient in SOP development and operational risk management, making him uniquely qualified to discuss the intricacies of government HR policies and strategies. He holds diverse academic qualifications, including an MSc in Development Studies, an MBA in Finance, a PGD in Risk Management, and a BSc in Engineering.
